Event Overview:
India’s space sector has made tremendous growth over the decade. Our advances in space programmes have been highly remarkable, with vigorous and determined efforts of ISRO.
Additionally, the space sector in India has been undergoing a considerable transformation with the de-regulation and opening-up of Space sector for the private sectors. At present, India’s share in global space economy is around 2% today, however offers the great potential to increase Space commerce for the new players.
The formation of Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (INSPACe) and efforts towards revising the space policies including the FDI policy for the space sector has another step which has taken by Government to spur the growth of private sectors, increase industry’s share in the Indian Space and global space market.
Taking the vision of the government of enhancing Indian private sector participation, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), in association with the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACE) and NewSpace India Limited (NSIL) is organising the 7th edition of its Bengaluru Space Expo 2022- an International Conference and Exhibition scheduled from 5 – 7 September 2022 at BIEC in Bengaluru.
Highlights of the event
The three-day event will comprise of exhibition and an international conference- ‘Nurturing the NewSpace in India’ would provide an ideal platform to Indian and International space agencies to interact, showcase their strength in the space arena and explore the opportunities of partnerships.
The event will also highlight on the initiatives taken by Indian government to encourage & engage Indian Industry in space sector and international space agencies in the space sector.
