Step 1:
Go to support.ugs.com.
Step 2: Click
License Management.
Step 3: Click on Current Licenses.
Step 4: Log in with your webkey.
Step 5: Click on passwords and license files.
Step 6: Under the version drop down menu: select ST4 at home
license.
Step 7: You are now on the Home Use activation page. This screen will
show you how many you have available.
Step 8: Select the license you want to use. I’m going to use
a Solid Edge Classic license. Click the check box.
Step 9: Fill out your home information. Click “Get
CID” with your home machine to find the CID (Composite Host ID) of your
machine. Your license file will be locked to this CID. If you are
not your home computer, enter the CID for the home computer by running the CID
utility. (Please refer PROLIM PLM Knowledge Base article How to Find Out Your Solid Edge CID (Solid Edge Composite
Host ID)). Your license file will be emailed to the email address you
enter below.
Step 10:
The license file will be sent to that email account.
Step 11:
Take that SElicense.dat and paste it in the C:Program FilesSolid Edge
ST4Program directory of your home computer.
