Providing an integrated platform for electromechanical design.
It is no secret that today’s products are getting more and more complicated, and many, if not most, of them depend on integrated electronics. Before the design is finished, it is essential that the designers of the two systems work together to avoid disputes and guarantee alignment between them.
By providing a comprehensive perspective, an effective ECAD-MCAD co-design approach enables you to avoid expensive electromechanical concerns during the development of new products.
Mechanical – Electronics Design is made up of powerful features that allow you to build a custom solution. Read more about these features below.
Design review, design iterations, and verification are enhanced by the independent, lightweight visualization tool ELMA. All of the major suppliers’ ECAD schematic and layout files can be loaded by ELMA in a single environment along with JT files. Between the ECAD and MCAD files, ELMA offers cross-probing and revision tracked mark-up. For a thorough MCAD examination, ELMA may also link to NX. Mark-ups may be added at any moment, and all views and the tree navigator immediately copy them, making it simpler to preview and manage them.
The only truly interdisciplinary platform now on the market, NX unifies electrical, mechanical, and control systems. Cross-probing, a technique used to combine electrical schematics and 3D models, enables designers of wiring diagrams and harness configurations to collaborate closely in order to avoid time- and money-consuming rework due to errors.
