Establish a Link Between the MBOM and the BOP

Using Teamcenter® software’s manufacturing BOM and BOP management tools, you can set the product bill of materials (BOM) and plant bill of process (BOP) independently of one another and link them to the manufacturing BOM.

The components, subassemblies, recipes, and resources needed to make the product are all included in the product BOP. The BOP of a plant is made up of cells and stations, each of which contains a list of possible operations. This capability bridges the gap between the product-centric perspective of producing a product—the product BOP—and the plant-centric perspective of building a product—the plant BOP—by maintaining a critical relationship to the manufacturing BOM under revision control through the production planning process.
