FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., July 19, 2012 — Prabhu Patil, President of PROLIM Corporation, an IT and PLM solutions and services consulting firm, was recently appointed to the PLM World Board of Directors.

PLM World is an independent, not-for-profit organization. Their mission is to be the Voice of the User, which includes 71,000 customers worldwide, and provide an open forum for the exchange of ideas within the Siemens Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Software product environment. Membership is open to users of NX, Solid Edge, Teamcenter and Tecnomatix software.

Board members are elected from the user community and organize the annual conference, oversee all major functions, and develop the organization’s strategic plan. They represent the membership through weekly conference calls and quarterly meetings, and volunteer their time to ensure the success of the organization’s mission.
