Solid Edge Tip of the Week – September 19
Recently, I have seen issues with customers that struggle to get intersecting parts to display correctly in drafts. These parts are displayed as hidden lines or not even appearing at all. Solid Edge has an option for intersecting parts and it is defaulted to not process intersections.
To change this globally, go to:
Solid Edge Options > Edge Display > Advanced button > check Process intersections and select an option. Notice in the Global options “Create all face intersections (slowest)” is ghosted out. This is to help with performance so all views are not processed this way if they are not needed:
To change this specific to a certain view:
Right click on View > Properties > Advanced > check Process intersections and select the option Create all face intersections (slowest):
